A couple of weekends ago I had the total pleasure of heading out to the Halloween Club's 3rd annual Spook Show and here's the blog post to prove it.... FINALLY!
I will shamefully admit right here and now, I have never attended one of their Spook Shows before but after this experience I am screaming from the haunted mountain tops: " LOVED IT!". Even walking through the parking lot was an adventure thanks to all the hearses lined up. It's always a thing of glory to see Phantom Coaches and all their beautiful funeral rides on display.
Let me start by saying that I have attended many many MANY horror conventions and Halloween type craft fairs, but this was hands down the most organized event I've ever been to. Oh and did I mention it was FREE! The line to get in took awhile to get moving and it was HOT, (and I was near the front so that wait wasn't as insane for me as it was for others) but never fear - The Halloween Club attendants handed out free bottles of water to everyone in line.
Although the event was free, you did have to register on Event Brite and then check-in to enter. This was also kinda neat because once you checked in, you received a badge holder with a VIP badge and trick or treat candy - and even though everyone got this, it was just a really nice personal touch. Each person took an official Spook Show photo and received a 40% - 80% off coupon inside the Halloween Club store. Once inside the Spook Show, the booths were set up perfectly in my opinion. As a craft fair veteran, I love when parallel booths have tons of space in between - not only does this help my social anxiety, but it allows foot traffic to flow nicely and makes for a happy shopping adventure.
Besides artists, crafters and bakers - the Spook Show featured a performance stage and had food trucks PLUS tons of seating to rest weary feet. This was nice because (I mentioned it before and I will probably mention it again) it was freaking hot! It seems while everyone on my Instagram is up to their neck in snow; we Californian ghouls were up to our necks in sweat!
The hardest thing about attending these shows is resisting the urge to buy everything! I know from years of craft booth experience, that all of the vendors put their blood, sweat and tears into this and I want to support them all. Couldn't make it? That's okay! Check out my gallery below:

All in all the 3rd annual Spook Show was a much needed kick in the spirit of keeping Halloween alive 365 days a year. This one definitely inspired me and made me miss doing craft fairs so badly. A super huge THANK YOU to Halloween Club for putting on this well-organized and fun-filled event!
I am totally counting my spooky blessings that I live in a place where these happy haunts happen throughout the year. Whether I am shopping or vending there, I will definitely see all you monsters next year!
