See, the thing about Target is that you walk in to grab 4 cans of cat food and next thing you know you're walking out with a bag full of stuff you don't really need (but gotta have). So let's jump right into what the Target gods bestowed upon me yesterday.
Firstly, I was so happy to see a couple of new notebooks in the Target Dollar Spot. All of these will be staying put in my haunted cubicle at work for meetings and daily notes.
- I bought the hot pink journal with pink polka dots and elastic band closure. The pages inside are blank white sheets. My only complaint is when I opened this, the cover was really flimsy and strap kinda ripped the it but for $1... This is nothing a little washi tape can't fix.
- The other I bought was the gold triangle notebook and this one is also blank white. This one has holes punched through but I am not sure what notebook size it fits - I tried to put it in my medium sized Kikki K planner and it didn't fit all.
- I also picked up the gold/white striped mini clipboard with a scalloped bottom. I am not usually a fan of gold but lately, I can't resist any of this gold flake stationery.
Next up - I was super excited to see new list pads and sticky notes. The Dollar Spot actually has a huge selection of Easter themed pads but in case you didn't know... I HATE EASTER DECOR. The only things I picked up from that collection are the rainbow chevron pad and the chevron page flags (Each pack comes with 100 of each color). The other notepads are:
- I am loving this grey "Things I Need To Do" list! It even has a small spot in the corner to write in a date and I also picked up the grey small sticky memo pack.
- Ombre pink/salmon color with the word "IMPORTANT" printed on top along with list lines.
- A weekly list pad in white and daily blocks with shades of red/coral.
Lastly, because I really did go to Target just to buy cat food, I had to walk past the cosmetics section and even though I told myself I would take a break from buying nail polish........ I caved. Since my current color combination obsession is mint/gold, I couldn't resist these two polishes when I saw them.
- Wintermint (by Revlon) blends my favorite season with my current favorite color and I totally let myself be brainwashed into buying it. HOWEVER - I cannot recommend this polish enough. First of all, the color is glorious but more importantly, it smells divine! As I put it on I kept smelling mint and I thought maybe it was in my head but NOPE. My dumb ass didn't even notice that A. it's in a perfume shaped bottle and B. it's part of the perfumerie collection! DUH!
- Golden Opportunity (by Covergirl) turned out to be a wee bit on the bronze side but it brushes on super nicely and dries quickly. I use it for an accent color and it's super subtle. I bought both nail polishes for a total of $4.
I am still working on my Disneyland haul from last week but since my Mom and brother just left, I am playing a major game of catch-up. All kinds of goodies coming super soon. Til then, creep it real!
