So I've received a lot of requests on how to order from spreenow.com and I found an excellent video by AnchoredtomyPlanner on youtube! You can find it H E R E! Guess what? They now have a lilac version including a zipper style which is like SWOON!!! In the end, I didn't really like the A5 size at all (it was too much for me) so I will probably be giving it away on my blog soon. :)
While lost in a sea of planner photos on Pinterest, I stumbled upon on this mint and gold dot beauty. At first I thought this was the ever elusive A5 mint/gold Kikki K planner but alas, it's actually a Dokibook from Love Doki. I immediately did a quick online search and found it on www.spreenow.com (The website is a bit tricky but if you want step by step instructions, I can do a quick post on how to order). This site also offers the Dokibook in a variety of sizes and styles including: plain mint, white with gold dots, plain white and they also carry storage bags in those styles.
HOLY PLANNER HEAVEN. I have been waiting for this order for over a month and I am so excited it is finally here! I've been itching to create a blog post about this.
By the craziest stroke of luck, I own the medium sized mint/gold dot Kikki K planner (the Ebay gods were looking down on me and I scored one for way cheap) and at first glance, the Dokibook does look exactly the same. However.... once you get up close and personal there are some slight differences.
Color and Quality:
The color of the Dokibook is spot on. When I put my Kikki K side by side, they are a perfect match. The only difference I see is the strap color. The Dokibook strap is a lighter shade of teal/mint than the Kikki K. I'll also add here that the quality of the strap isn't nearly as good as Kikki K and I wonder how this is going to hold up after a few months of daily use. Besides the straps, the other difference I noticed is the thickness of the actual planner. I don't know if it's because Kikki K is real leather and the Dokibook is faux leather but you can definitely feel that it's slightly off. The up side to this is a more lightweight planner but we'll see how it holds up after constant use. Does this make me think twice about buying it? Hell no! It's adorable!

Rings:
PERFECT. As a matter of fact, I have to give major praise for the way they shipped this. It arrived with a foam sheet around the rings, then the entire book was covered in bubble wrap and then tightly sealed in plastic wrap. The rings didn't leave a single indentation on the interior and so far they open/close perfectly.

Specs:
This Dokibook is A5 size which is a bit of a jump up from my medium sized Kikki K planner. I can't compare this to any other of the larger sized planners since I've only used medium sizes but if you're familiar with A5 paper, that's what fits perfectly inside the Dokibook. The measurements of the Dokibook are approximately 9" tall x 7" wide and about 1 1/4" when closed.

Features:
Just like the Kikki K planner, the Dokibook has an elastic strap closure as well as an elastic strap pen holder. The pen holder is ideal for a Hi-Tec-C Coleto pen, but I wouldn't recommend a regular ball point pen - It tends to float around inside the strap and my OCD isn't feeling that at all. If anything, you might be able to fit 2 ball point pens here but I am afraid it might stretch out the pen strap too much so any sort of multi-pen would be great. The Dokibook also has a few compartments that will feel familiar to Kikki K users. The left side has 3 pockets which are awesome for sticky notes, labels, coupons, stamps, paper clips and more! Those compartments make up a flap which can hold bigger items like letters, cards, etc... The right side has an area to insert a memo pad and behind that is another pocket for holding all kinds of planner nerd goodies.

Extras:
When I ordered this, I noticed my invoice said this didn't come with any extras inside so when I opened it and found it full of goodies... I was surprised and inspired! Included with my Dokibook: sturdy plastic dashboard, a clear plastic hole-punched ruler (just like the Kikki K) with matching teal/mint accents, an pre-punched A5 plastic pocket and pre-punched mint colored dividers (monthly, weekly, today, list & to do, favorite, account, chronodex and others).

Obviously the Kikki K planner will always be superior to the Dokibook but all in all if you're looking for the Kikki K mint and gold dot planner but don't want to spend $185-$300 for one on Ebay, the Dokibook is the way to go (especially since there are no plans to bring it back it back to their site)! In total I bought the Dokibook, 6 sets of letter stickers and a pack of apple sticky notes all for about $26.00 (plus a shipping fee). Like I mentioned, my main concern about the Dokibook is the life of the straps but considering the price I can definitely deal with that and replace them if I ever need to. My main planner is the medium sized lilac Kikki K so I am excited to expand and go BIG into an A5 size!
Once I get this pretty all set up, I'll post it here in all it's glory! Til then.... ^v^
